I recently heard a story of how a marriage broke up when the wife came home to find her husband bathing their baby daughter and their dog together. That’s wrong. Even the dog looked as if he knew it was wrong.
A dog is a dog. On no account should a dog be taken as a human being. That is, you don’t kiss them on the lips, take them into your bed or share a bath with them. Even though some of them can be cute (and where would we be without assistance dogs and the great work they do?) experts say dogs can carry diseases that make us humans seriously ill or even kill us.
I am no dog hater. When I was growing up, we had a sweet dog, Blackie. He was a much-loved faithful little fellow who would wait for me each evening after work at the T-junction near my home and he would trot proudly alongside me keeping me company. I still think of him with great fondness to this day. But I never lost sight of the fact that he was a dog.
