Can’t the police get anything right? First, they stop, search and arrest innocent people going about their innocent business. Then they say they haven’t got time to attend to house burglaries and car crimes, nor chase motorists who drive off without paying for their fuel. Neither do they have time for victims of assault who, through their apathy, have been left with no recourse to justice nor closure for their traumatic experience.

Oh yeah. And in a case where a man (with a penis) exposed himself (and did other things) to two teenage girls, they, the police went to great lengths to avoid mentioning that the alleged perpetrator is …a man! They use the words ‘person of interest’ who exposed their genitals.

So, the police don’t know if this ‘person of interest’ is a man or a woman? They are going on like they don’t, which is laughable. Because the teenage girls who were flashed told them it was a man. They could see his manhood. That’s the point of flashing!

But you know what, all this is just, dare I say, ‘small fry’ when it comes to the state of the British police force. Because what is of serious concern to us, the British public, is what kind of people are being let into the force to serve and protect us.

Take for instance the recently jailed 31-year-old constable James Ford. He who was supposed to be upholding the law was quite dastardly breaking it by repeatedly raping a young girl. And he had only been in the job two years! Twenty-nineteen recruit of questionable character! It seems like new recruits to the police are not being properly vetted and, according to a report by the HM Inspector of Constabulary, Matt Parr, many forces seem quite happy not only to accept but also to keep those with criminal convictions and predators with perverse sexual preferences. Some police forces seem to say “Thieves, drug dealers, gangsters, wife beaters – come, walk this way.”

And, once inside the force, you would not believe what some of these officers get up to. In her investigation of the Metropolitan Police Force, Baroness Casey found that hundreds of officers were allowed to continue serving despite accusations of domestic assault, sex abuse, gang-related crimes, corruption, and sexual misconduct on other officers. Campaigners have called the Force an ‘institution in crisis’ after it emerged it failed to sack PC David Carrick despite allegations of rape, domestic violence and harassment allegations over two decades, between 2000 and 2021. Last December, at the Old Bailey he pleaded guilty to 49 offences, including 24 counts of rape. He was nicknamed ‘Bastard Dave’ for a reason!

In another much-publicised case, in January last year, three officers were dismissed from the Hampshire Force after making racist and sexist remarks, including calling women ‘sluts’ and ‘whores’.

Knowing what we know about the likes of David Carrick, how can we expect allegations of sexual and domestic violence to be thoroughly investigated by the police?

And it doesn’t stop there. As for murder, the ultimate crime? Some of them wouldn’t even think twice about going there!

So now you see why the police don’t have time to solve crimes committed against the public (who pay their wages and generous pensions). They are too busy committing their own!
